ASC apply seismology to the understanding and imaging of both natural and anthropogenic deformation and fracturing processes in rock and brittle materials, at a range of scales from acoustic emission testing in the laboratory up to microseismic monitoring in the field and regional-scale earthquakes.

We strive to expand the use of acoustic and seismic imaging and source analysis techniques across a wider and diverse range of applications including, but not limited to, geological storage (e.g., carbon capture and storage, radwaste isolation, blue/green hydrogen), geothermal, asset condition monitoring and renewables.

Our vision and the focus of our research and development activities is to find smarter, innovative and greener technical solutions to support a sustainable and low carbon economy and future.

This is achieved through collaboration with our clients and research and industrial partners in all related areas of engineering, environmental, earth and material sciences.
