The ASC Student Research Program is designed to support doctoral students in their research by providing access to essential software tools.




Eligibility criteria


To be eligible for this programme, applicants must:


  • Be enrolled as a PhD student at an accredited university or college.
  • Agree to use the loaned software solely for approved research purposes and not for any commercial or non-educational activities.



Benefits upon acceptance


Upon acceptance into the programme, students will receive the following from ASC:


  • A one-year loan of InSite (Lab, Geo or HF), provided as a digital licence fixed to a single PC.
  • Four hours of initial online training to help students familiarise themselves with the software.
  • One hour of support per month, consisting of one-hour online session. These sessions will provide assistance with applying specific software functionality and technical support.


Limited acceptance


Acceptance into the programme is limited, and applicants will be selected based on eligibility criteria and availability of resources.

Successful applicants will be required to sign the Research Student Licence Agreement, a sample copy the of the Agreement is available below.
